The first step in the process of forming your new Arizona limited liability company will occur when we file the Articles of Organization with the Arizona Corporation Commission. We will file your LLC’s Articles of Organization on the day you approve your LLC formation questionnaire and pay our fee. If those events occur too late in the day we will form the LLC the next day.
The day we file the Articles of Organization it will be approved as filed by the Arizona Corporation Commission. We will send an email to the LLC’s contact person that has a pdf file attached that is the approved and filed Articles of Organization. The date stamped on the Articles of Organization is the date the LLC was born and the date it can begin doing business.
For People Who Did Not Hire Us to Form Their LLC: ACC Document Processing Times
The Arizona Corporation Commission will review your company’s Articles of Organization in a approximately a week if the $85 expedited filing fee was paid to the ACC or a really really long time if the $50 filing fee was paid. See the ACC’s current document processing times. We always pay the $85 expedited filing fee so our online filing is approved the same day we file the Articles of Organization.
Keep the approved Articles of Organization in a safe place. You will need to give a copy of this document to the bank when you open the LLC’s bank account.
How to Search Your Company on the ACC’s Website
Starting about four days after the date we submit the Articles of Organization to the ACC, you can check the ACC’s website for the status of your new LLC. Once the Articles of Organization have been approved by the ACC you can download a copy of the approved Articles of Organization from the ACC’s website by doing the following:
- Search for your company on the ACC’s website
- When you get the search results click on the link to your company
- On the bottom right of the page click on the icon that says Document History
- Click on the text that says Articles of Organization
